Nicole started working at 5/3 Bank her junior year of college. After the first few months, she got to know the “regular” customers. Rob was one of them. He came in every Friday to cash his paycheck. They would always share a laugh and a story, but nothing more. Finally, after 20 months of working at the bank and seeing him every week, he dropped a hint about asking her out to one of Nicole’s friends and co-worker. They were both single at the same time, and she encouraged him to act on his feelings. The next week, Rob passed Nicole his business card and asked her to call him for dinner and drinks some time. Nicole ended up texting him that night when she got home and a few minutes later he picked up the phone and called her back. He said texting felt too impersonal and he wanted to really get to know her. Nicole knew right then that he was different from all the rest. And the rest is history…

Nicole and Rob are coming up on three years together, and they have celebrated many firsts since then. Their first kiss was on New Year’s Eve at a friend’s house, and their first meal together was at Waffle House, of all things. Nicole will always remember their first time going fishing together, putting up their first Christmas tree together, and the many long nights of working on their first house together.

Nicole and Rob are also very fond of their traditions, one of which is the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati zoo every year. Everyone who knows Nicole, knows how she has been obsessed with elephants since she was s a little girl, so it is high on the priority list to go see them every Christmas. Last year for the couple’s second anniversary, right in front of Mai-Tai and Ganesh, Rob got down on one knee and proposed. The elephants and the Festival of Lights always held a special place in Nicole’s heart, but now even more so!

Nicole loves that Rob genuinely cares about the people in his life and is always ready to lend a helping hand. She knows she is marrying her best friend and can’t wait to see him at the end of the aisle next year.

Rob loves that Nicole pushes him to be the best version of himself. She is his best friend and he can’t wait to marry her!

For their engagement session, the couple really had their eye set on a winery, and Rob found the perfect one, Elk Creek Vineyards! It was absolutely gorgeous!

So excited for their wedding next September at the Josephina Event Center!
